1. Germany was involved in ww1 because serbia attacked Austria who had an allience with russia. So Germany said to Russia that if Russia entered the struggle between Austria and Serbia that Germany would come in on Austira's side and Russia went in so Germany went in.
When the archduke was assassinated we fought side by side with austria-hungary and defended our teritory.
week 2 dec. 15th.
1. We plan to use the u-boats for a speedy victory. All we have to do is blow anything up that gets in our way. We also plan to use the machine gun because it makes it harder for the enimies to advance. The horable thing was that i sat there and watched my bestfriend die. He was trying to advance and i told him not to, because of the machine gun, but he thought he could make it. So once the machine gun stopped he climbed out of the trench, he got to about the middle of the field and then i heard the machine gun, i look over and there is my bestfriend getting shot all to peices, Just watching im lay there and knowing that he is not going to get up. I remember HATING the enimies. When the x-mas break came i just sat there and didnt talk to any of the enimies becuse if i did i would have ended up killing one or worse getting killed myself.
3.We had a shot at russia, but once they backed out and the u.s. stepped in and declared war we were in trouble. They had better wepons than us, and they knew how to use them as well. they would shoot these rockets and they were killing our men by the dozen.
week 3, xmas break.
On december 24, we exchanged goods such as chocolate, and jam. and for 24 hours we talked and played games with the enimies. we played soccer to pass the time.
week 4, january 5. Germany had about enough of the U.S. because germany was getting destroyed. The U.S. had forced us to sign the peace treaty because we were losing to many men. But there were a couple of German soldier that went crazy for revenge. But i am glad that we singed the peace trety i wanted to return home to my family that i havent seen in a couple of years.When i returned home from the war my family was happy to see me. But there was bad news when i returned, come to find out that my younger brother was shot and killed. I was happy to get to see my girlfriend. She said that she had witnessed some horable stuff. But i told her if she thought that was bad that she should have been right there on the battle front with me, and then she could tell me that she had seen horable. I watched my best friend die. But then a agian she was a nurse so she did see some pretty bad stuff. Getting use to the fact that the war was over and having to all of the sudden live "normal" wasa harder than expected. Your so use to the war you all ways have to watch your back..ect. you get the point.
